Construction on Canada’s tallest building has reached a major milestone, with Pinnacle SkyTower topping out at its highest occupied floor of 106 storeys.
Developed by Pinnacle International, the supertall tower is the centrepiece of the Pinnacle One Yonge community at the foot of Yonge Street near Queens Quay. The 4.4-million-square-foot master-planned development is transforming the former Toronto Star Building lands into one of the largest mixed-use communities in the city.
Construction on the tower began in late 2020. Once completed later in 2026, SkyTower will rise to a final architectural height of 351.85 metres (1,154 feet).
The project will feature 958 residential units, the new Le Méridien Toronto Pinnacle Hotel, and approximately 80,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities.
“Now that we’ve reached the 106 storey mark, you can really feel the momentum accelerating.”, says Anson Kwok, Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Pinnacle International, “Pinnacle SkyTower offers the exclusive opportunity to live in a fully customized home in the tallest building in Canada, creating a new standard for luxury living in Toronto.”
Designed by Toronto-based Hariri Pontarini Architects, the tower features a distinctive 12-sided floorplate that enhances structural performance and maximizes panoramic views of the city and waterfront. At its peak, the tower will be crowned with a 700-tonne tuned mass damper, designed to counteract wind forces.

SkyTower is the tallest supertall skyscraper currently planned or under construction in Toronto. Its immense height also places its upper floors roughly eye-level with the main observation deck of the CN Tower.
SkyTower is the second phase of the One Yonge Community. The development’s 65-storey first tower — Prestige — was completed in 2023. Additional phases will follow in the coming years, including a planned 320-metre supertall tower in Phase 3.
