Starbank Developments has submitted plans to bring two 15-storey residential buildings to 609 Roehampton Avenue, near the Bayview and Eglinton intersection in Toronto’s Leaside neighbourhood.

The proposal seeks to replace an existing retail plaza and surface parking lot, aligning with the ongoing intensification of the area surrounding the future Leaside Station on TTC’s Line 5 Eglinton Crosstown. The development falls within a designated Major Transit Station Area (MTSA), emphasizing the City’s push for higher-density housing near key transit hubs.

Designed by Turner Fleischer Architects, the project consists of two residential towers: the west building will house 150 units, while the east building will contain 59, bringing the total to 209 new residential units. The proposal also includes 231 bicycle parking spaces and 11 at-grade parking spots, along with public realm improvements.

If approved, the development would add to the growing density surrounding Bayview and Eglinton, where over 4,800 residential units are currently planned with towers up to 46 storeys.
