Developer Metropia has seen record demand for the latest phase of its Union City project, located in Markham’s rapidly growing Unionville neighbourhood.

Sales for the project commenced in March 2023, and there have now been more than 1,200 units sold across all phases within the first three months, making it one of the most successful pre-construction real estate projects in recent memory. Notable highlights include Tower 3 selling over 325 units in the first five days of sales.

When Metropia started our journey of planning and designing the Union City master-planned community, we knew we had a special project on our hands,” says Howard Sokolowski, Chairman and Founder, MetropiaThe sales results and reception have been beyond what we could have imagined. Our promise of unlimited living in Markham-Unionville has translated to unlimited demand for this milestone project and we could not be more humbled by this success. We’re very eager to get shovels in the ground and deliver on our vision as soon as possible.

The 12-acre master-planned community designed by Arcadis (formerly IBI Group), features three buildings at 44, 40, and 36 storeys. The project is located on Enterprise Blvd in close proximity to Downtown Markham, the York University Markham campus, and the Unionville GO station.

Future residents can expect a wide range of amenity offerings, including a 37,000 sf. landscaped plaza, 50,000 sf. outdoor terrace, a sports court, swimming pool, gym, and the 5,000 sf. Union House social club — an exclusive space that will serve as an extended living room for the building’s occupants.

Throughout all phases, we have focused on liveable suites, a more attainable price point, and of course the resident experience when living in a master-planned community,” says Lee Koutsaris, Director of Design, Sales, and Marketing, MetropiaTower 3’s design allowed for larger balcony sizes, and our unit mix and floorplans were influenced by the response to the previous releases. We’re so pleased that our careful planning and thoughtful design has resonated this strongly.
