Developer Concord Adex is behind yet another skyscraper along Yonge Street in Downtown Toronto. The proposal, located at 699-707 Yonge Street, is situated just south of the Bloor and Yonge intersection. Designed by DIALOG, the 64-storey / 216 metre building would contain 514 residential units and commercial retail at grade.

The current site consists of several existing properties along Yonge, Hayden, and Charles Street, including The Brass Rail, a notorious strip club dating back to the 1950’s.

If approved, the building would rise immediately south of the 76-Storey Number One Bloor (1 Bloor East), one of the city’s tallest completed residential buildings.

Concord Adex currently has a number of projects under construction throughout the Downtown Core, including the 85-storey Concord Sky at Yonge and Gerrard. This latest proposal adds to a growing number of developments in the Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood, an area of the city that is projected to experience signifiant intensification over the coming years.
