Trolleybus Urban Development has unveiled plans for a new purpose-built rental tower in North York, near the Yonge and Finch intersection.

The proposed site, located at 30-36 Hendon Avenue, is currently occupied by three single-family homes, which would be replaced by a 46-storey tower designed by Studio JCI. In total the development would include 433 rental units, along with 47 parking spaces and 326 bicycle parking spaces.

Situated just steps from Finch Subway Station, the project’s location is ideal for transit-oriented development, while addressing the growing demand for high-density housing in Toronto.

Plans also feature streetscape enhancements, including a widened pedestrian zone along Hendon Avenue, aimed at improving walkability and fostering a more vibrant, community-focused environment.

With increasing demand for purpose-built rental housing in Toronto, the project serves as a significant step toward addressing the city’s housing needs while revitalizing an under-utilized site within a Major Transit Station Area (MTSA).
