Talisker Corporation has submitted a formal proposal to redevelop the site of the existing Cineplex Queensway Cinemas in Etobicoke.
Located at 1025 The Queensway, the proposal is the latest redevelopment planned along a rapidly intensifying portion of The Queensway in Etobicoke.
Designed by WZMH Architects, the site is envisioned as a mixed-use community that will include residential, commercial, institutional, and public spaces.
The proposal calls for 10 residential towers between 18 and 46 storeys, alongside two 7 storey commercial buildings. Over 4,200 residential units are planned as part of the development, along with a 4,300 square metre parkland dedication.
This development adds to the more than 8,000 residential units that are in planned or under construction along The Queensway between Kipling Avenue and Royal York Road, which is currently made up of a number of big box retailers and industrial buildings.
